Dutch Justice Minister to Press Legal Action against Illegal Gambling Websites
According to Dutch News papers, the Dutch Justice Minister Ernst Hirsch Ballin has stated that he will be pressing legal action against internet gambling sites that have yet to shut down their operations after targeting Dutch consumers.

Currently all gambling is under the control of the Netherlands and any gambling firm or online website must have a permit to offer online gambling to citizens of the country. The online site’s that Ballin is referring to do not have a permit and they have yet to stop their operations.

The number of websites that will face legal action has not been confirmed but we do know that it does involve both Dutch based and foreign gambling companies. Ballin is letting the larger Netherland banks know that if they have illegal gambling website as customers they will be breaking the law.

This is not the first time that the Minister has made banks stop accepting illegal gambling websites as customers. Last year the Minister called out Unibet of Sweden and Dutch operator Oranje Casino and told banks not to process any transactions from the operators.
