ECOOP Attracts High Entry Rate At Titan Poker
The largest online poker room on Playtech's iPoker Network, Titan Poker, revealed higher than expected player participation at its annual poker tournament, the European Championship of Online Poker (ECOOP). A staggering $2.5-million prize pool is largely attributed to the high entry rate.In the ECOOP's first event, a no-limit Hold'em match held November 30th, 1,049 players joined in the action, driving the guaranteed prize pool of $150,000 up to $209,800. Slovenian player ‘majstorex’ took first place.
French poker player, ‘Bsinclair’, took home first place winnings of $23,000 in the ECOOP second event on December 1st, an Omaha High-Low match with a guaranteed prize pool of $100,000. 540 players took part in the event.
The third ECOOP event saw another guaranteed prize pool driven much higher than expected, totaling $372,750. 1,490 players entered the event, but ‘Addict1968’ took the top prize of $78,000.
Monday, December 3rd, saw the second Omaha match in the ECOOP's fourth event. The pot-limit, re-buy tournament revealed 672 entries, again upping the guaranteed prize pool to $120,000. ‘LuckyPlayerCoolie’ took first place.
The nightly ECOOP events will continue at Titan Poker until the final event coming up this Sunday, December 9th. Entries are expected to remain in the high numbers, as the guaranteed prize pool for this final event will total a minimum of $1,000,000.
