Former Senator Believes Debate on Frank’s Bill will be delayed
Richard Bryan is a former United States senator and currently a professional gaming attorney. Bryan recently was interviewed by the Las Vegas Review Journal and he stated in that interview that the debate on Barney Frank’s anti UIGEA bill will most likely be delayed until next year.

Bryan believes the bill will not be discussed until next year for two reasons. Bryan things that more important issues like health care and the economy will take precedence over the gambling bill. He also thinks that the Congress moves at a ‘glacial pace’ and will take a long time to deal with less important issues.

Bryan said, "My sense, however, is that there is a gathering, gradual momentum where, eventually, Internet gaming will occur and be regulated. I'm just not sure if it has reached critical mass yet."

Hopefully Frank’s legislature will be looked at next year if not sooner and the whole mess will be worked out. The United States could benefit greatly from extra income and that is exactly what regulated online gambling would do if the UIGEA is overturned.
