France to Hold Several Gambling Seminars
It was recently announced that beginning in May, France will be holding several seminars on the subject of gambling. During the seminars politicians will be discussing the online gambling market and laws created. Several members of the gambling industry will also be speaking during the seminars.

The first seminar will take place on May 5th and will be hosted by Jacques Mynard, a French National Assembly Member. Mynard will be discussing the French gaming model and its changes due to EU law and online conditions.

Then on May 11th, Senator and President of the Commission on Social Affairs, Nicolas About, will be hosting a seminar which will discuss tax rates, competition, state monopolies as well as products available to online French players.

The third seminar will have more hosts than the previous seminars. It will take place on May 19th and see Senators Francois Trucy and Jean-Francois Lamour in attendance and will be chaired by Etienne Blanc and Marc Francina both MPs. This seminar will discuss mobile gaming, impact of online gambling to land venues as well as the potential for the French market.

The final seminar in the gambling series will take place on May 28th and will be hosted by Antoine Cheron. He will be discussing regulatory enforcement issues as well as intellectual property.
