The Korean Times recently reported that employees working for a Korean unit of the Mansion website have been detained by officials for operating an illegal gambling website. Mansion is an online casino, poker room and all else gambling and the kit sponsor of the Tottenham Hotspur, the English football club in the Premier League.

Seven operators of the Korean unit were detained because of a new phase in police action against online gambling in Korea. This is the first time that any international online gaming company has been charged with illegal activity in Korea.

It has been reported that more than two thousand Koreans have gambled on the Mansion site and an estimated thirty million won has been taken by the site. It is also believed that around seventy player deposited more than fifty million won a piece at the Mansion site.

It was also reported that Mansion88 was created in Singapore to oversee the Korean operations. Police are claiming that the website has taken four billion in revenue and it was all illegal. Police are planning on tracing the money and profits and take action from there.
