Neteller is a leading provider of online payments for such industries as online casino, bingo, poker and sports betting. The company recently announced that they are looking to change their name from Neteller to NEOVIA Financial Plc. Neteller has sent out paperwork to shareholders and also providing a copy on their website for viewing.

The NETELLER Group is hoping the new name will represent a strategically evolution. The company has been working to rebrand for the past year by trying to differentiate the parent company from the groups operating brands.

NEOVIA means ‘new way’ and it supports the Groups strategic vision of providing differentiated, bold and exciting online payment solutions. The Group decided to change both NETELLER consumer and NETBANX business brands as well as relaunch the NET+ card brand.

The Group believes the name change will help them gain creditability with merchant and end user customers, partners and regulators. They also hope to progress their financial services strategies as well. A meeting is scheduled for November 11th to discuss the name change.
The passing of a special resolution at the meeting of the company’s shareholders must be done in order for the name to change.

It is believed that the name change will take place on the 17th of November. Until then the company will be still known by their NLR ticker symbol. After the name change the new ticker symbol is believed to be NEO.
