Online Gambling Operators Get Ready for German MarketOnline gambling has opened up in the German market and seven operators have now been given licenses to operate in the country. The operators are now getting ready to set up shop in Germany and offer their many gambling games for the players to enjoy.
The seven operators who now have licenses in the country are: Bet365, Betfair, Bet-At-Home, Bwin, Party, MyBet, Tipico and NordwestLotto. This group of operators will now have to come to an agreement about whether they will pay the 20 percent of their gross profits to the country to have the license or if they will pay the 5 percent in tax on their turnover that is demanded by the law.
Just last year, fifteen of the sixteen states in Germany decided that they would ban all online poker and casino games. Schleswig-Holstein was the only state left that wanted to still allow the games. Now, most online gambling operators have relocated to Schleswig-Holstein. The groups have yet to open up local sites like they have in other countries.
Bet365 continues to remain a top provider of online gambling options so it is not surprising that they will be offering their services in Germany. The group already offer their services to the Danish people and they are the only iPoker provide who does so. They are the only group with legal approval to offer their services to Danish gamblers. The group will hopefully soon be added Germany to the list.
