Online Gambling Study Shows Problem Gambling Decrease
A new research study was concluded recently by Dr Howard Shaffer and Bwin, the European gambling group. The study focused on responsible gambling and understanding problem gambling as well as increased gambling. The study concluded that with the regulations that are in place problem gambling has decreased in the past twenty years.

Many believe that because the internet is so readily available and gamblers have easy access that it would resort in problem gambling. This was the findings in an earlier hypothesis which stated that easy access would lead to an increase in problem gambling.

The recent study found that the majority of online gamblers do gamble moderately when compared to those who gambled in the seventies. Dr Shaffer stated that the findings disprove the thought of easy access equals an increase in problem gambling.

Currently online gambling is a hot topic in the United States and this new study could help lawmakers who want the UIGEA overturned make that a reality. Only time will tell if members of government will take heed to the new findings, or if they will remain stuck in their ways.
